If so, Coach Global’s Executive Coach Certification Programme (ECCP) is in full alignment with International Coaching Federation (ICF) competencies, standards and ethics and is acknowledged as 67.5 coach specific education hours by the ICF. These hours exceed the number of coach education hours required for the first level of credential with the ICF being the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential which is 60 hours. The hours can also be utilised towards the coach training hour requirements for the PCC and MCC credentials.
There are also specific additional requirements, over and above training hours, which apply for each credential. For our ECCP graduates wishing to apply for an ICF credential, we find this approach gives greater flexibility in completing all the additional credentialling requirements. Graduates can set a timeline that best suits your goals for international credentialling and also work with a range of development partners to meet the other requirements e.g. mentoring support from our partner coach educators – bringing more diversity to their development. Coach Global is happy to provide guidance in this area.
The ICF website (www.coachingfederation.org) provides full detail of the credentials and pathways. After more than 12 years of accreditation directly with the ICF (enabling accreditation via ICF’s “ACSTH path)”, we have transitioned to support credentialling under the “portfolio path”.
