Julie started her career in 1996 when she graduated from Fudan University with Master degree, and was hired by GE China as a Management Trainee of HR Leadership Program. In the following 20 years, she benefited from the rapid growth and development of MNC in China, moving upward step by step on the career ladder from MT to HR professional and finally Senior HR Executive. From 2006 she took the position of China HR Director and became a member of executive leadership team in the company, reporting to China CEO and / or APAC VP. The companies she had worked with include GE, Siemens, Maytag, Fiat Group, DKSH, and Dentsu Aegis Network, covering a broader range of industries from manufacturing, home appliance, automobile, healthcare, consumer goods, and automation equipment to professional services.

In her 20 years of corporate life, Julie demonstrated her expertise and strong leadership in organizational as well as people development. She has rich experience and track records in building talent pipeline, establishing competence model system, improving employee engagement and enhancing company culture, all of which were well-recognized by her employers. She worked very closely with country leadership team as a trusted business partner and advisor in people ans organization development.

In 2014, Julie had the opportunity to participate the Executive Coaching Certificate Program (ECCP) by Coaching Australia, which enlightened her with an answer to a problem that has long plagued her: for those who are lack of soft skills, the traditional classroom training was not as effective as expected, esp. for experienced managers, that they failed to move to the next level was not because they didn’t know those soft skills, their failure was because they can’t “live” those skills in their daily work / life. Julie realized that coaching is very powerful as it really changes people’s old habits and forms new behaviors, therefore it fills the gaps between “knowing” and “doing”. By learning and practicing coaching Julie also confirmed her strengths: achiever, developer, empathy and communication. With these increased self-awareness, she made a decision to leave corporate and started her second-half career as an independent consultant, facilitator and executive coach in 2015.

As a trainer and facilitator, Julie delivers following copyright training courses:

  • Radical Collaboration
  • CareerPower / CareerPower for Managers / Love’em or Lose’em
  • Certified Harrison assessment and its workshop;
  • Certified Lumina Spark assessment and its workshop
  • ECCP by Coaching Australia, she translated all training materials into Chinese and is the facilitator of its Chinese version training.
